Some of the milestones achieved over the years and major fundraising efforts include:

• Magic Show – continued until 1983 – final total raised $2,975,000.00
• Threads/Evening of Magic – ran between 1991 and continued until approximately 2001 – final total raised – in excess of $150,000.00
• Beer Tent – Taste of Edmonton – continued until 2002.
• Alberta Firefighter’s Burn Camp – held annually every summer at Camp Chief Hector in Kananaskis Country in southern Alberta. Children who are burn survivors from Alberta and across the country attend this popular event where attendance has grown from an original 15 attendees in 1988 to over five-dozen annually, not including the dedicated staff and volunteers.

In 2002, the FBTS, EC celebrated 25 years of fundraising and a total of over five million dollars raised for the Burn Unit.

In 2007, we recognized 30 years of fundraising and a total of over seven million dollars donated to the Burn Unit at the hospital. Several of the original founding members of the FBTS, EC (now retired) were able to attend the presentation to the hospital.
